So now that we’ve grabbed your attention with the Design Goals of Alpha Gloves and how they are Game-Ready off the shelf let’s go into more detail on the specs and differences of the gloves through the line.

We know, from sales figures, that the Alpha QX is not going to be on every hockey players’ hands.  Most top-end gloves don’t get the love they deserve because not many players use them or are even exposed to them.  So the product team wanted to make sure that every glove in the line, no matter price, enjoyed the comfort goals of the Alpha line.  Whichever glove you purchase or try-on, you’ll feel that Butter-Soft feeling right away.

Our line has so much value from price to price, but sometimes it’s hard to know exactly what you get when you move up in price.  Let me be your guide.

Let’s start from the opening model Alpha QX5.

Alpha QX5 Glove:

The Alpha QX5 glove is an amazing glove for the price.  With a durable palm and lightweight foams, the glove feels ready-to-play right off the shelf.  Foams used in this product rival competitors foams at this price.  We do not skimp on protection and a quality feel.  Fit and function, with segmented thumb, backhand and fingers allow for full motion and comfort during play.

Alpha QXPro Glove:

The Alpha QXPro glove is similar in spec to the gloves we provide to NCAA and Pro teams in Europe.

The all-new Hybrid Flex Cuff is added to this model.  It allows the open cuff to move with your arm/wrist and avoid gaps in coverage during play.  This model also carries our upgraded Phantom Foam package that is super-lightweight with added flat premium plastics for impact protection(Fingers, backhand, Thumb rolls).  The ProPalm is a combination of high wear durability Clarino 8080 base layer with an additional Clarino 8080 overlay for maximum durability.  No stretch, vented, gussets for a secure, more traditional, finger feel.  More traditional Tufftek 2.o outer covering gives a more traditional look and feel, with added abrasion resistance.   An additional three-segment index finger for added dexterity and grip feel.  Also adding in the WarTech FNC liner for a fresh and clean glove life.  Polygiene bath-treated foams, palms and inner liners wick away moisture from the hand and impede bacteria growth – which causes gloves to stink.

This glove is built for higher end play by semi-pro or AAA players, who are on the ice a lot and are looking for added protection, lightweight and long wearability.Screen Shot 2017-03-15 at 3.16.42 PM

  1. Any chance that Warrior can make a customized single glove order ie Oilers royal blue and orange with my last name on the glove?

  2. What about the Gretzky cuff on the gloves he wore in the alumni game for St. Louis? Is that available or only custom made?

      1. That’s too bad. From various other comments on social media it looks like there would be a market for this cuff to be a customizable option.

  3. Is there much difference in the fit of the Covert QX Pro and Alpha QX Pro? Looking to customize junior glove for my child.

    1. The fit of the Covert line and Alpha line are totally different. The Covert glove is a lower volume glove that sits much closer to the hand and has an anatomical taper (tapers from the knuckles to the wrist, then flares at the wrist). The Alpha line offers more volume and a hybrid tapered fit that contours to the shape of your hand (wider in the knuckles to a smaller cuff).
