Perhaps the most distinguished of the Warrior PROs, Henrik Zetterberg of the Red Wings is one of the most recognizable faces not only in the NHL, but also in the world. A highly respected veteran of more than 900 NHL games, the Captain of the Red Wings, a Stanley Cup Champion, Conn Smythe winner and Olympic Gold Medalist, Zetterberg has become the face of an original six franchise and a hero in his native Sweden.

Drafted 210th Overall in 1999, Zetterberg didn’t come to North America to make his NHL debut until the 2002-2003 season. But when he arrived, he arrived! Henrik put up 44 points in his rookie season and finished second in the Calder Trophy voting (Warrior PRO Barret Jackman). With that rookie season, Zetterberg established himself as belonging in the NHL and, to this day, has never played a game in the minors.

San Jose Sharks v Detroit Red Wings

Named the team captain in 2013, Zetterberg sits in the top 10 career leaders for the Red Wings in; Goals, Assists, Points, Plus/Minus, Game Winning Goals, Shots and Hat Tricks. This season he is on pace to lead the Red Wings in scoring for a fifth time in his career.

Henrik made the switch to Warrior sticks during the 2010-2011 NHL Season following in the footsteps of then teammate, Nicklas Lidstrom. He would go on to lead the Red Wings in scoring that season with 80 points in 80 games. Soon after, Zetterberg became a full head-to-toe Warrior PRO adding gloves in 2010 and pants and helmet in 2011.

Los Angeles Kings v Detroit Red Wings

Zetterberg is such a highly regarded member of the Warrior PRO family that we actually alter our stick graphics to accommodate his painting of the lower shaft and blade his preferred matte black. It’s a small change but it speaks to the amount of respect we have for him and his status in the game.
